Fix Your Content Image
Having a clear content image helps people understand what you’re about at a glance. When your content is focused, they’ll know right away what you offer and why they should follow you.
Lately, I've been thinking a lot about niches and how important it is to be known for a few key things. When I looked at my Instagram feed, I noticed it looked messy and unfocused. This made me wonder: What do new visitors think when they see my profile? I realized it's crucial to clarify my content image.
Why a Clear Content Image Matters
Having a clear content image helps people understand what you’re about at a glance. If they see a messy feed, they might get confused and leave. But if your content is focused, they’ll know right away what you offer and why they should follow you.
My Goals
Since I want to sell TTRPG Zines and talk about my creative business journey, I need to show that clearly on my Instagram. I want visitors to know that I’m passionate about TTRPG Zines and that I can help them with their creative businesses.
Tips for Clarifying Your Content Image
Choose Your Niches: Pick a few key things you want to be known for. For me, it’s TTRPG Zines and my creative business journey.
Create a Content Plan: Decide what kind of posts you will make. For example, I can post about the process of creating TTRPG Zines, tips for creative businesses, and updates on my projects.
Stay Consistent: Post regularly and stick to your plan. This helps your followers know what to expect from you.
Use High-Quality Images: Good photos and illustrations make your feed look professional and attract more followers.
Engage with Your Audience: Reply to comments and messages. Show that you care about your followers and what they think.
Advice from Experts
Focus on Your Audience: Think about what your followers want to see. Create content that is useful and interesting to them.
Tell Your Story: People love stories. Share your journey, struggles, and successes. This makes your content more relatable.
Use Hashtags Wisely: Use hashtags that relate to your niches. This helps new people find your content.
Analyze Your Performance: Use Instagram Insights to see which posts are doing well. This helps you understand what your followers like.
Final Thoughts
Clarifying your content image on Instagram or any other social media platform is essential if you want to attract and keep followers. By focusing on a few key things, creating a content plan, and staying consistent, you can make your profile more attractive and professional. For me, this means clearly showing my love for TTRPG Zines and my creative business journey. What about you? What will you focus on to clarify your content image?
Projects I’m Working On:
Tabletop RPG Zines
I hit a bit of a roadblock because I changed my TTRPG zine format quite a bit. There was just too much content for a tiny 8-page zine, so I had to be creative. So far, I think I’ve figured it out, but I’m still experimenting with it.
YouTube
Sigh... I still haven’t dedicated much time to this project. My priority for client work is still too high to find time for filming YouTube videos. Filming requires dedicated hours in the day, and I’m already busy with client work and other projects. Slowly but surely, I’ll get to this.
Illustration Business
So far, I’ve done two illustrations. Once I draw the third one, I’ll make a dedicated IG for a portfolio. For now, I’m still figuring out my services. I’m thinking about which industry to focus on first, and I’m really considering book covers.
Short Stories
Confession time: I haven’t touched my short story in 2 weeks! I’ve been so busy prioritizing other things that I forgot about it. Sigh... I need to reschedule my tasks daily and make sure I get back to writing.
