Getting on Track, Prioritising Goals, and Preparing for 2025

I’m feeling great about my progress, and now it’s time to stop just preparing and learning—it’s time to take action and start!

Getting on Track

Lately, I’ve been consistent with the things I want to achieve—writing, drawing, and setting up my small business. There’s still a lot to do, but I feel good about the progress I’m making. I’m not as consistent as I’d like yet, but even moving forward by 1% is better than standing still. It takes a lot of mental effort and self-discipline to push through tasks you don’t always feel like doing, but it’s worth it.

Prioritising

My main goal is to sell printable RPG games and miniatures. To make that happen, I’m dedicating daily time to these projects. That’s the only way I can ensure I’ll release new products every month. Here’s what I’m working on so far:

  • Pocket RPG: I’m planning to finish this by the end of the year. It’ll be free for people to try out, helping me get feedback and build interest. The gameplay is fun and simple (at least, I think so!). I’ve designed it in a template format to make it easier for me to create new themes and stories every month.

  • Paper Miniatures: These are almost ready! I’m creating samples to show what buyers will get with a set or when commissioning an original character. While I’m still exploring and refining my art style, I’ve decided to move forward and let it evolve naturally. The characters are designed with proportions that are four heads tall, giving them a friendly and cute, slightly cartoony vibe.

  • Quick Quests: These are solo or co-op adventures with three stages (three maps on A4-sized paper). Each quest includes a quest sheet, rule sheet, and random generator. They’re designed to be fun and repeatable. This project is the most time-consuming because it’s more detailed and involves a lot of scenario planning.

Getting Ready for 2025

I’ve decided that 2025 will be the year I officially launch my small business. I’ve spent a lot of time in 2024 preparing, learning, and testing ideas, but I realized the real progress comes from taking action. My first focus will be Pocket RPGs, as they combine gameplay and story generation. I’ll be sharing more details soon!

I originally wanted to start selling in 2024, but I realized my products weren’t ready yet. Honestly, I wouldn’t have bought them myself if I’d seen them back then. So, 2024 became a year of trial and error—figuring out my products and the audience I want to sell to.

It’s been a journey, and I’m excited to see where 2025 takes me!
