Let's Give This Another Go (Writing Newsletters)

Hello! I'm still figuring out this whole newsletter thing. Let's give it another shot.

It’s been a while since I last wrote a newsletter. Life got busy again—mostly with work, personal projects, and, honestly, feeling a bit lost about the purpose of this newsletter. But I’m back.

I’m still figuring out how to do this properly, but I truly believe that if you’re building a personal brand or a business, having a newsletter is important. Many of us don’t actually own our audience—social media does. If your Instagram account gets banned, for example, you could lose your entire audience overnight. But with a newsletter, your audience is yours. If people subscribe, it’s because they genuinely want to hear from you. You’re not tied to an algorithm or a platform. So yeah, I think newsletters are a valuable tool for creatives and entrepreneurs. That’s why I’m committed to growing mine and providing value to my readers.

For now, I’ll keep creating content about my journey as a creative entrepreneur, sharing knowledge, resources, and updates on my personal projects. Hopefully, I can inspire others to embrace creativity in their own lives and businesses.

Updates

It’s March now, and the first two months of the year—January and February—were packed with work. My day job as a social media strategist kept me busy. January was intense since businesses were focused on regaining audience attention after the holiday season. February was equally demanding, as we had to adjust marketing strategies ahead of March, which is a slower sales month due to fasting season.

Now that it’s March, I finally have some time for myself and my personal projects. I managed to get a few commissions in January and February, which was great. I might continue offering commissions for illustrations and writing, but for now, my main focus is selling digital products—especially pintables.

One of my newest projects is a TTRPG dungeon-crawler playing card game. Playing cards have always been a big part of my life, and I’m really excited to start designing my own. This is one of my recent business ideas, and I’m eager to see where it goes.

Current Projects

Right now, I have 10 projects in progress:

  1. Quest at Hand – Playing cards game

  2. Tales by the Ruins – Dice rolling game

  3. Forge of Tribes – Deck building game

  4. Illustrations – Personal and commission-based artwork

  5. Bookmarks – Designing and selling custom bookmarks

  6. Playing Cards – Designing custom playing cards

  7. Zines – Creating and publishing my own zines

  8. Novella – A writing project in progress

  9. Short Stories – More creative writing

  10. Newsletter – Keeping this going!

Yeah, it’s a lot, and progress is slow. But I enjoy creating things, and even if I only make 1% progress, it’s still progress. The alternative—doing nothing—would feel like a regret. So I’ll keep going, even if it takes time.

For now, I’m sticking to these 10 projects and doing my best to move forward with them. That’s my update for this week! I’ll try to send out another newsletter next week.

Till then, take care!
